Welcome to the Country Club Oaks Civic Association section! The homeowners of CCO are proud of their neighborhood and the Civic Association was created to help keep CCO a wonderful place to live, raise children and to call home. Our Civic Association does many things. They set and collect the maintenance fees that are required to run neighborhood operations, such as maintaining landscaping and structures in the common areas, paying utility bills, costs of printing and postage for the quarterly newsletter, legal expenses as needed and more. However, one of the most important functions is to enforce the deed restrictions of CCO. Unfortunately, many subdivisions don't stay as nice as when they were new. Just like a home, a neighborhood can be well maintained or it can be allowed to deteriorate. The big difference is the willingness of the homeowners to follow the rules and to become members of the civic association that enforces the rules. The vast majority of the residents in CCO take great pride in their homes and neighborhood and together we can all make CCO a wonderful place to call home! ***************************************************************************************************************** The CCOCA is currently seeking a dedicated volunteer to coordinate with local law officials to oversee the Neighborhood Watch program in Country Club Oaks. This program is already established in Baytown and all the needed resources are available and ready to implement. CCO had a very active program in the past and we would like to see it thrive again. If you are interested in initiating this worthwhile program in our neighborhood, or would like to become a Neighborhood Watch block volunteer, please contact CCOCA President, Gerald Sherman at 281-424-1234 or gwsherman@gmail.com. ****************************************************************************************************************** An organization is only as strong as its membership. While many neighborhoods require mandatory monthly dues, our residents may become members of our Civic Association by submitting yearly dues of $40 at the beginning of the New Year. It is not too late to submit your 2008 dues. Please mail your check for $40 made payable to CCOCA to: CCOCA Treasurer PO Box 1482 Baytown, TX 77522 ******************************************************************************************************************** CCOCA is building an email database for the purpose of relaying important news to residents between newsletters. This database will only be used for the purpose of CCOCA communication and will not be sold or shared with other sources. If your email is not listed in the current directory, or if it has changed, please email dbhlhh@comcast.net ********************************************************************************************************************** The mission of the Country Club Oaks Civic Association is to preserve, maintain and improve security, quality of life and property values in Country Club Oaks. |
